How do I find Sanji the rabbit?

Two independent pre-1.0 sources agree on the Vile Wasteland Potato route while describing the map edge differently; version 1.0 preserves the achievement but changes item rewards.

Quick Answer

On Vile Wasteland, obtain Potato from an item chest and search the edge for the house window containing Sanji. The official wiki places the house along the centre of the northeast edge; JHG's guide says to follow the east edge until the building appears. Approach with Potato and wait a few seconds for the sound, hearts and Curly Little Potato unlock. This route is supported by two independent pre-1.0 sources but has not been re-walked by a checked 1.0 source.

Steps

  1. Make sure Potato is unlocked in the save, start Vile Wasteland, and take Potato from an item chest during the run.
  2. Search for a house window with rabbit ears visible. The official wiki places the house along the centre of the northeast edge; JHG's guide instead says to follow the east edge until the building appears.
  3. Approach the window with Potato in hand. The wiki says Sanji stands up; after Sanji is fully upright, wait a few seconds for a sound, hearts and the achievement unlock.

Requirements / Limits

  • Both independent route sources specify Vile Wasteland; neither establishes another valid map or a mode requirement.
  • Potato must already be unlocked in the save. The pre-1.0 sources tie that item unlock to Power Overwhelming, but the 1.0 notes explicitly say achievement item rewards were moved and/or swapped, so check the current achievement list instead of treating the old pairing as a current requirement.
  • The 1.0 changelog still names Curly Little Potato and changes the reward from Jade Amulet to Easter Egg. This proves the achievement still exists in 1.0, not that the route is unchanged; no checked source re-walked the route on 1.0.
  • JHG suggests banning other items and maximizing rerolls and banishes to make the Potato offer easier to force.
  • JHG also suggests Endurance mode for more time to find the house after obtaining Potato.

Common Mistakes

  • Collapsing the two source locations into one invented exact coordinate instead of keeping northeast-edge and east-edge wordings separate.
  • Treating an old achievement-to-item reward pairing as a current 1.0 prerequisite.
  • Claiming that the route itself was verified on 1.0 because the achievement still appears in the 1.0 changelog.
  • Searching the window before Potato is unlocked and obtained during the run.
