The cursor leaves the window and the menus feel capped at 60 FPS — can I change that?

Two release-week complaints, one answer: update to 1.0.0b, then open the Display tab.

Quick Answer

Update to version 1.0.0b. That hotfix added an option in the Display tab that toggles whether the mouse cursor sticks to the game window or can leave it, so both complaints — cursor trapped, and cursor escaping to a second monitor — are the same setting. The same hotfix states that gameplay interfaces are no longer limited to 60 FPS.

Steps

  1. Confirm the game is on version 1.0.0b or later; both changes shipped in that hotfix on 21 August 2026.
  2. Open the settings and go to the Display tab.
  3. Set the cursor option to whichever behaviour you want: stuck to the game window, or free to leave it.
  4. If a Camera Movement accessibility setting looked wrong before, recheck it — 1.0.0b fixed that setting displaying the wrong active mode.

Requirements / Limits

  • The developer's framerate statement is about gameplay interfaces. No source says the run itself was ever capped at 60, and this page does not extend the claim.
  • Version 1.0 separately claims an optimisation pass over load times and framerates, and says Survivor models drop fewer frames. That is a general claim, not a fix for a specific cap.
  • The changelog announces a toggle without stating which way it starts, so check the setting rather than assuming a default.
  • No launch options, driver settings or config-file edits appear here. The developer publishes none for this game.

Common Mistakes

  • Retelling “no longer limited to 60 FPS” as “the game's framerate cap is gone”. The developer said interfaces.
  • Looking for the cursor option on version 1.0 or 1.0.0a, where it does not exist yet.
  • Editing config files to chase a cap that a supported setting already controls.
  • Assuming the 1.0 cursor bugfix and the 1.0.0b toggle are the same change. The first forced one behaviour; the second made both available.
